Mason City, Iowa Everett R. Harrison, 92, of 302 2nd St. N.E., Mason City, Iowa died Sunday (Sept. 6, 2009) at Good Shepherd Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 9, 2009) at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 419 N. Delaware Ave., Mason City, Iowa with Rev. Mark Lavrenz officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-7:00p.m. at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City and then one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City.

Everett was born July 22, 1917 in Britton, South Dakota the son of Charles and Maggie (Bowman) Harrison.

He moved to Mason City, Iowa in the early thirties. Everett married Marie Hazel Torkelson Nov. 19, 1937 in Mason City, Iowa.

He worked for Northwestern Cement Plant in Mason City for over thirty years as an electrician.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and tinkering.

He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Everett is survived by two daughters: Joann Bowers and her husband Robert, Washington, Illinois and Janice Rogers, Mason City, Iowa; six grandchildren Kimberly Roberts, Darren Bowers, Brian Bowers, Renee Boehnke and her husband Jim, Christine Dusold and Dawn Ericson and her husband Jon; fifteen great-grandchildren and two sisters Hazel Arndt, and Marjorie Funk and her husband Frank, both of Mason City, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons Jerry and Ronald Harrison; ten brothers and sisters; wife, and son-in-law Bill Rogers.
