| Tempe, AZ- Donna Mae Clausen, 73, formerly of Mason City, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 in Chandler, Arizona.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 13, 2009, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street N.E. Mason City, with Monsignor Joseph Slepicka officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday November 13, 2009, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street N.E. Mason City. Memorials may be directed to Donna M. Clausen Memorial in care of Cindy Papouchis 301 Lakeview Drive, Mason City, Iowa 50401. Donna Mae Britven was born June 18, 1936, in Mason City, the daughter of Henry and Helen. She graduated from Hampton Dumont High School. Donna was united in marriage to Dale Clausen on August 1, 1955 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City; to this union six children were born. Donna managed Pier 18 in Clear Lake for several years until she moved to Arizona in 1972. She worked at Phoenix Greyhound Park, restaurant bar Joe Hunts and the restaurant bar The Office, and accounting office at Taco Bell until her retirement. Donna loved sports including, football, basketball and baseball. She enjoyed playing on her computer. Donna was such a great friend and will be missed for being so caring and hospitable. She was a past member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City. She is survived by her children, Cathy Clausen, Chandler, AZ, Cindy (Jim) Papouchis, Mason City, Craig (Candi) Clausen, Chandler, AZ, Christy (Brian) Meehan, Broomfield, CO, Connie Clausen, Tempe, AZ, and Curt (Julie) Clausen, Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Julie Ann, Jaclyn, Kyle, Christopher, Zoie, Dane, Taylor and Haley; great-grandchildren, Elias, Ezekiah and Mackenzie; one sister Barbara Peeples, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
