Omer E. Pleiss, 94, of Patoka passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. He was born July 9, 1915 in Patoka, Indiana to John Henry and Cora E. (Pickett) Pleiss. Before retirement he worked at the Emge Packing Plant for several years. He is survived by his children Ronnie (Sue) Pleiss of Indianapolis and Sandy (Steven) Coleman of Patoka, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters Flora, Hattie and Mary; 4 brothers Leo, Mack, Clinton and Delmar; and 1 daughter Sherie DeLong. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 2 P.M. at the Decker Cemetery in Patoka with the Rev. Mike Marsh officiating. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery.
