Joe R. Garrett Jr., age 42 of Princeton past away Friday July 24, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was born Feb. 28, 1967 in Fairfield IL to Joe R. and Nancy (Mobley) Garrett Sr. He had previously worked for Hurst Manufacturing. He had lived in Princeton most of his life. Joe is survived by his mother, Nancy Garrett, Princeton and her companion Jim Bruner: three sons, Danny Joe Gatewood and Matthew Gatewood, Patoka, Joe R. Garrett III, Princeton; a brother, Ronnie Wheeler, Princeton; and a sister Patty Hightower, Princeton. His father Joe R. Garrett Sr. and brother Danny Joe Garrett preceded him in death. Graveside Services will be at 10 AM Thursday July 30, 2009 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton, with Rev. Donnie Mobley officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Burial will follow the services. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
