Sandy D. Maikranz, 66, of Evansville and formerly of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. Sandy was born September 7, 1942 in Gibson County. She was former owner/director of nursing at Forest Del Convalescent Center in Princeton and for the past 20 years was nurse/administrator for Sage Health Services of Indiana. Survivors include two children, Kendra Maikranz of Montgomery, Alabama and Brad Maikranz of Haubstadt; two grandchildren, Taylor and Ellie Maikranz. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Leona (McAtee) Blemker. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Dale Beaver officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, P.O. Box 3487, Evansville, Indiana 47734, or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
