RACHEL P. LAFLIN JERICHO CENTER — Rachel Pearl Laflin, 66, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born on June 27, 1941, in Morrisville, the daughter of the late Harry B. and Jane P. (Hale) Alexander. She married Vaughn Laflin on May 24, 1963, in Woodsville, N.H. Rachel worked for many years at IBM where she made many good friends. After retirement, she spent many hours working on the family geneology. She also loved to do puzzles and read historical novels. She cherished time spent with her family, especially the family reunions every year. Rachel was a kind and gentle lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves her husband, Vaughn of Jericho Center; their son, Danny of Hinesburg; sisters, Elizabeth Foster of Morrisville, and Elaine Alexander and partner Phillip Ward of North Hyde Park; brothers, Donald Alexander and wife Mary of Burlington, and Kenneth Alexander and wife Avis of Johnson; sisters, Dorothy (Alexander) Godin and husband David of Craftsbury, and Debbie Alexander of Morrisville; sister-in-law, Martha Alexander, wife of Harold, of Waterville; and many wellloved nieces and nephews. Rachel was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Dennis. A memorial service will be held in Plains Cemetery in Morrisville at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Lamoille Family Center, 480 Cadys FaUs Road, Morrisville, VT 05661.
