No one likes to think about death, let alone plan for it. By pre-arranging your funeral, you relieve your family of having to make important financial decisions during a period of great stress and grief-a time when people aren't thinking very clearly and may not know what to do because you never made your wishes known.
Pre-arranging can be as simple as writing your own obituary, or as complex as arranging every facet of the funeral ahead of time, including Scripture readings, music, clothing, printed items, pallbearers, lodge services, casket, burial vault or cremation urn, flowers, and more. You choose how much you want to do at any given time, with the knowledge that you can add more information later. We want to maintain your comfort level when you pre-plan, because we know that this is not an easy thing for anyone to do, because it represents the future death of someone we love. But by arranging at least some of the service details ahead of time, you are easing the burden of decision-making at the time of death. Does pre-arranging diminish the loss? Certainly not, but it will relieve you of some difficult decisions at a most difficult time.
Pre-arranging your funeral can be very informal, and as simple as jotting down your preferences and sharing your wishes with a family member. More formal arrangements in the form of a preneed contract can be set up with us and can be pre-funded through the Funeral Home with Interment Trust Service, or another method.
