Dennis Steven Deacon Jobe, 65, of Keokuk, died at 6:10 PM Friday, September 25, 2009, at Montrose Health Care Center in Montrose, Iowa.
Mr. Jobe was born February 16, 1944 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Edward and Marjorie Warren Jobe. He was married to June Hawkins. He served in the United States Air Force. He lived in Keokuk most of his life and had been employed as a meat cutter and later was the first manager of Pizza Hut in Keokuk. He was of the Christian faith and liked to fish, boat, and be near the Mississippi river.
He is survived by one son, Wes Jobe and his wife, Julie, of Hamilton, Illinois; three daughters, Nadine Jobe of Montrose, Norine Jobe of Keokuk and Nina Jobe Whippie of Keokuk; five grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Janice McBain of California and Jerilyn Mason of Arizona; and two brothers, Edward Jobe of New Jersey and Wayne Jobe of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jenielle Jobe; a brother, Terrence Jobe; and a granddaughter, Audriana Whippie.
According to Dennis wishes, his body has been cremated and there will be no service or visitation.
