Laretta Joan Harvey, 66 of Keokuk, Iowa, died early morning, Monday, October 12, 2009 River Hills Village, Keokuk, Iowa.
She was the daughter of Leonard PD and Helen Irene Frank Harvey. She was born on October 2, 1943 in Keokuk, Iowa.
She was employed with Wendy’s for last five years and Hardees for fifteen years before that. She was a life long resident of Keokuk, Iowa. She enjoyed reading, crafts, and loved collecting beanie babies.
She is survived by one daughter, Renee Moss and her husband Shawn of Portland, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Jacob Harvey of Keokuk, Iowa; Nicole Basford of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; Jackson Moss of Portland, Tennessee; two step grandchildren: Cody and Shelby Mosso of Lomax, Illinois; two great grandchildren: Jordan Harvey and Alexia Basford; two brothers: Robert K. Harvey and his wife Mary of Keokuk, Iowa
Leonard Junior Harvey and his wife Sylvia of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Laretta’s twin; sister-in-law: Louise Harvey of Donnellson, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Glenn Harvey and one niece Cindy Carson.
Funeral service were held at 10:30 am Friday, October 16, 2009 at DeJong’s Funeral Home in Keokuk with Rev. Terry Lovell officiating. Burial followed at Black Ledge Cemetery east of Mt. Sterling, Iowa.
A memorial has been established.
