| | | Julie Ann Fugate, 60, of North Vernon died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Fugate worked as an aid at Jennings Healthcare Center for several years, retiring in 2005. She had also worked at Community Care Center for 13 years. A homemaker, she enjoyed yard sales, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She attended school in Hebron, Kentucky.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon with the Rev. Donald Messer offciating. Calling is from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Committal will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born February 4, 1948, in Covington, Kentucky, Mrs. Fugate was the daughter of Chester and Madline Taulbee Fugate.
Surviving are a son, Robert Russ of North Vernon; a daughter, Geneva (Robert) Maloy of North Vernon; six brothers, William Fugate of Walton, Kentucky, Chester Fugate of Florence, Kentucky, James Fugate of Owenton, Kentucky, Gary Wayne Fugate and Arthur Fugate of Warsaw, Kentucky, and Dean Fugate of North Vernon; a sister, Madeline Carol Dudgeon of North Vernon; and 12 grandchildren, Jason, Donald J., Sandi, Dustin, Jessica, Robert Jr., Hannah, Robin and Hailey Russ, Brandan and Dillion Maloy, and Kelsey Lock, all of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Don Russ; two brothers, Randal and Franklin Fugate; and three sisters, Linda Gardner, Esther Cleo Shears and Josephine Sturgeon.
