James Arthur Sweeting

James Arthur Sweeting, 61, of North Vernon died Friday, August 29, 2008, at his home. Mr. Sweeting was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been a truck driver and mechanic most of his adult life. He enjoyed computers and fishing.

Cremations is planned. There will be no calling or service. Arrangements were made by Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon.

Born November 29, 1946, in Syracuse, New York, Mr. Sweeting was the son of Earl George and Marie Alberta Vader Sweeting.

Surviving are his former wife, Janice Moore of North Vernon; his mother, Marie Alberta Sweeting of St. Petersburg, Florida; brothers, Earl Sweeting of Eustis, Florida, Richard Sweeting of Florida, Clifford Wheaton of Boise, Idaho, Timothy Wheaton of Tallahassee, Florida, and Christopher Sweeting of DeRuyter, New York; and sisters, Patricia Allen of Cato, New York, Evelyn Meyer of Tampa, Florida, Linda Jordan of Kensington, Maryland, and Penny Sayles of St. Petersburg, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Lester Sweeting and Michael Wheaton.
