| | | Thomas A. Hendricks, 66, of Lakewood, Ohio, died Thursday August 28, 2008, at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, following an illness.
Mr. Hendricks retired from Cummins, Inc., after 42 years of service. He was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1987.
A memorial service will be held at the North Vernon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 13. Private burial service will be at the Dupont Cemetery.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon.
Born August 23, 1942, Mr. Hendricks was the son of Mollie Ely Hendricks of North Vernon and the late Ralph Hendricks.
Surviving with his mother are his wife, the former Vivian Hlavac; a daughter, Michelle Hendricks of North Vernon; three sons, Tommy Hendricks of Butlerville, Johnny Hendricks of Hope and Bobby Hendricks of Martinsville; five stepchildren, Terri Greene, John Hlavac, Sharra Hlavac, Ron Hlavac and Bob Hlavac of Ohio; a sister, Eloise Samples of Versailles; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
