Rebecca Gail “Gailbug” Yates, 41, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, died Friday, September 5, 2008, at Russellville Hospital in Russellville, Alabama. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, at Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon with the Rev. John Carr officiating. Arrangements were made by Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon. Born July 25, 1967, in Columbus, Mrs. Yates was the daughter of Bobbie Sue Cobb Thompson and the late Mack Arthur Thompson. She married Jerry Lee Yates. Surviving with her mother are a daughter, Harley Shan Yates; a son, Cody Allen Nay; a stepson, Joshua Lee Yates; a brother, Mack Thompson, Jr.; and a sister, Alina Burton. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and grandparents, Clinton Thompson, Adele Mayfield, and Larcus and Louise Cobb.
