Ada Irene Willey

Ada Irene Willey, 83, of North Vernon died at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the home of her grandson, Jason M. Griffin.

Mrs. Willey was a homemaker and an Ordained Minister. She was a member of Southwood Assembly of God in Indianapolis. She was involved in missionary work in Haiti and was involved in various outreach programs throughout her life.

The funeral was conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008, at Singleton Community Mortuary in Greenwood, Indiana with the Pastor Johnny Garrison officiating.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon.

Born June 12, 1925, Mrs. Willey was the daughter of Lloyd and Essie Griffin. She married John A. Willey on January 3, 1947.

Surviving are two sons, William Lawyer of Iowa and Johnny Willey of Greenwood, Indiana; three daughters, Barb Elgin of Missouri, Beverly Borrego of Lafayette; and Brenda Collier of Martinsville; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Tim Willey.
