| | | Mary M. Scherer, 44, of North Vernon passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Scherer worked at the Jennings County Middle School for two years. Previously, she worked for the Community Care Center and spent many years caring for children in her home. She attended Jennings County High and enjoyed crafts, working with children, and going to yard sales.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born January 30, 1964, in Seymour, Indiana, Mrs. Scherer was the daughter of Thomas and Barbara J. Foddrill Bennett, Sr. She married Gary Scherer on September 16, 1985 in Vernon, Indiana.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Thomas Joseph Dean Scherer of Garden Grove, California and Jason Zachary Scherer of North Vernon, Indiana; two brothers, Thomas (Gloria) Bennett, Jr. of North Vernon and Bobby Dean “Dino” (Kim) Bennett of Columbus, Indiana; one sister, Barbara Mullins of West Union, Ohio; and one grandson, Eli Scherer of Garden Grove, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
