Michael Wayne Piercefield, 56, of Jonesville, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon, Indiana.

Mr. Piercefield was a graduate of Columbus North High School in Columbus, Indiana. He worked for several cleaning services throughout his adult life. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing cards, and loved the outdoors.

The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Sherman Beville officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2008, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born June 6, 1952, in Columbus, Indiana, Mr. Piercefield was the son of Robert A. Piercefield and Anna J. Tatem.

Surviving with his mother, are one brother, Miles Piercefield of Jonesville, Indiana; one sister, Amy Piercefield of Carrollton, Kentucky; two nieces, Robbie Jo Anderson of the National Guard in Ft. Eustis, Virginia and Juleigh Anna Fay Piercefield of Jonesville, Indiana; and two great nieces, Madison and Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Piercefield and brother, Patrick Piercefield.
