| | | Thelma Elizabeth Graham, 96, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away at 3:01 am, Monday, November 3, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana.
Mrs. Graham retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1966 after 30 years of service as an Inspector. She was one of the first six women hired by Cummins during WWII. Mrs. Graham was the owner of Arts & Such in Vernon, Indiana, LaPetite Bridal Shoppe in Columbus, Indiana, and the Army/Navy surplus store in North Vernon, Indiana. She graduated in 1929 from Elwood High School in Elwood, Indiana.
Mrs. Graham was a 55 year member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter #1314 of Columbus, Indiana. She held the office of Senior Region. Mrs. Graham was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2008, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, Indiana, with the Rev. Larry McIntosh officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008, and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Women of the Moose, Chapter #1314 or Pleasant View United Methodist Church.

Born November 7, 1911, in Elwood, Indiana, Mrs. Graham was the daughter of Frank and Erma Dailey Youngman. She married Samuel Chester Littell in 1930. He preceded her in death. She married Thomas Graham in 1964. He also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Donnell (Bette) Littell of North Vernon; one sister, Geneva Davis of Columbus, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Natalie (Brian) Simmons, Debra (Larry) Bannister both of North Vernon, John (Carlena) Littell of New Mexico, Denise (David) Luguna and Kim Zeigler of California, Sherry (Bob) Emmons of Pennsylvania, April Littell and Jenny Littell both of Columbus, 16 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sons, Narlan Littell and Shawn Littell; one daughter, Maxine Zeigler; a brother, Francis Youngman; and one sister, Marie Streeval.
