The Traditional Funeral Service allows a family to memorialize and reflect on the life of their loved one in the comfort of relatives and friends. This can be conducted in accordance with all religions customs or may be devoid of religious content altogether. Many people choose to have the service at the funeral home, or at another place of worship depending on religious affiliation.

Prior to the Funeral Service, either the evening before or on the same day, a visitation is usually held. This provides a time for all who are gathering to mourn a chance to reflect on memories, pictures and stories prior to the funeral service itself. At the discretion of the family this can be a time to have the casket open or closed. Many families choose to have the casket open to give all who attend one final, dignified memory,or a point of closure.
