  VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES

Lorraine F. Barber quietly passed away at home with the love of family on Sunday, July 29th. She will be remembered for her many acts of kindness, compassion for animals and love of family. She was a role model for all her knew her and her legacy will always be the way we will live our lives through her shining example.

She was married in Camp Roberts, CA on December 12, 1942 to Herbert, the love of her life. Together, their life's journey resulted in the raising of six children, thirteen grandchildren, six great-granchildren,and numerous cats and dogs.

After raising her children, she pursued a career for 18 years as the Deputy County Treasurer of Ozaukee County where she earned the respect and admiration of many friends and co-workers.

In her retirement years, she loved to travel, knit, play cards, golf, shop 'til you drop, spoil granchildren, cook favorite meals for family and "beat the pants" off anyone who challenged her to tennis or ping pong. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, kind heart and never ending love of family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Herbert and her devoted children, Bruce (Linda) Barber, Judith Gray, Steven (Diana) Barber, Clifford (Susan) Barber, Christine (Vince) Terry and Jeffrey (Deanna) Barber. She will be deeply missed by her granchildren, Tiffany (Steve) Walker, Natalie (Doug) Moody, Alan Barber, Sarah (Paul) Jerdee, Kellie Barber, Brian (Andi) Barber, Jason Barber, Kevin Barber, Aimee Barber, Haley Barber, Shannon (Randy), Sean (Tawny) Terry, Rebecca (Chris) Terry and six adorable great-grandchildren, Alexis, Michael, Colin, Gracie, Kevin and Nolan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Frances Haley; siblings Ruth (Herschel) Vallandigham, Mabel (EW) Cottrell, Bill (Vi) Haley, and two infant sons, Scott and Joseph Barber.

We invite family and friends to celebrate Lorraine's life on Friday, August 3rd at the Eernisse Funeral Home at 1600 W. Grand Avenue for the visitation from 12:30-2:30 PM. The service will be at the First Congregational Church on Webster Street at 3:00 PM. We will remember our wife, our mother, our grandma/great-grandma, our aunt, and our friend with music and prayer.

We love you, love you, love you!

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ozaukee Humane Society or Heartland
Hospice Service appreciated.
