ARVIN D. BENNETT



Mr. Arvin Bennett, age 84 years, of Freistadt Road in Thiensville, passed away at Columbia- St. Mary’s Hospital, Ozaukee Campus in Mequon on Friday morning, June 27, 2003. Arvin was born in Kentucky on October 5, 1918, son of Letcher and Alice Hoover Bennett. He was one of seven children. On August 16, 1941, Mr. Bennett was united in marriage to Ms. Katherine Hildebrandt in Evanston , IL. The couple eventually moved to Wisconsin. At the age of 65, Arvin retired from his job as a Quality Control Inspector at Evenrude Marine Motors. Mr. Bennett was a very active member of Ozaukee Baptist Church, were he was a past deacon, as well as a proud member of the NRA and the Saukville Gun Club. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his children, Arthur Bennett of Thiensville and Arlene (Charles JR.) Heeren of Saukville, 4 grandchildren: Merri Kay & Charles Heeren III, Kirk and Matthew Bennett. HE is further survived by 1 sister, Elsie (Robert) Ricks of Michigan, 2 brothers Glenn (Beth) Bennett of Eagle River and Robert (Karen) Bennett of Lowell, MI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Katherine and 3 brothers: Leonard, Harold and Lester. Funeral Services will be held for Mr. Bennett on Thursday, July 3, 2003 1 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Avenue, Port Washington. Pastor Travis Graf will officiate. Arvin will be intered next to his wife at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Visitation will take place Wednesday evening, 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home and again Thursday morning from 11AM until time of services at 1PM.
