William P. Berry of Random Lake passed away on Sunday, November 20th, 2005 at Columbia- St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. He was the son of James C. and Nettie Pehrson Berry and was born on November 30, 1927 in Milwaukee. After serving in the US Army, he became a pattern maker and had a woodworking shop until his retirement in 1986. He is survived by 2 daughters: Gail (John) Matenaer of Sheboygan and Nancy (Louis) Taylor of Billings, MT, 3 grandchildren: Tiffany (Nate) Schanno, David and Paul Matenaer, all of Sheboygan, 3 step-grandchildren: Brian, Sarah and Laura Taylor, all of Billings, MT, 2 great-grandchildren: Jonathan Schanno and Emily Matenaer, both of Sheboygan. He is further survived by 1 brother Michael (Hortense “Sam”) Berry of Fredonia, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his faithful companion Rudy The Cat. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Patrick and a sister, Barbara. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 10AM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. (Hwy LL & 33), Port Washington. Rev. Arthur Senn will officiate. Interment will take place in Valhalla Cemetery, Milwaukee. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9-10AM. Memorials are suggested to the Ozaukee or Sheboygan Humane Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lasata Care Center and Columbia-St. Mary’s Ozaukee, and Dr. David Fagan for the good care given to our dad and brother.
