ESTHER B. AUER Esther Auer, age 99 years of DeKalb, TX, formerly of Town of Saukville died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at a local nursing home in DeKalb, TX. She was born September 8, 1907 in Mayville, WI daughter of Fredrich and Martha Arndt Schweppe. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mayville and graduated from Mayville Normal School. She taught in a one room school in the area. On September 2, 1927 she married Alois Auer in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death in 1965. Mrs. Auer was employed for many years at Alston’s Dept. Store in West Bend. She is survived by one daughter Lynn (John) Davies of DeKalb, TX, a daughter in law Esther L. (the late Lloyd “Stu”) Auer of Town of Saukville, ten grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son Lloyd “Stu” Auer, one daughter Lois Amble, two sisters Erna Schweppe and Elfrieda Allan and one brother Frederich Schweppe. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 10:30 AM at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville with Pastor Jim Mallmann of St.John’s Lutheran Church in Mayville officiating.
