Victor W. Denuit, age 86 of Oak Hill, was called home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2008, at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, after several weeks of deteriorating health.
Vic, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on May 26, 1921, in Pleasantville, Ohio, Fairfield County, to the late Victor Harold and Carrie Ellen Wood Denuit.
He was a long-time office manager at Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company (AEP) in Wellston. After retirement, Vic never slowed down. He “always” had a project started, whether for his family, friends, or his church. He was an excellent craftsman and enjoyed bestowing gifts on others. Throughout his lifetime, he was active in various community and church organizations. He was longtime member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Vic was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Stella Irene (Clark) Denuit; son, Raymond and wife Jackie (Fisher) Denuit; three grandchildren, Ryan and Kimberly Denuit, and Breah Denuit, all of Oak Hill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son James Robert “Jimmy” Denuit in 1998, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 27, at 1 p.m. at the C.M. Cemetery with the Rev. Pat King officiating. Viewing hours for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kuhner Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
