Cowen “Workie” Workman, age 97, of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2010 at Heartland Nursing Facility in Jackson. He was born November 22, 1912 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Jack and Della (Vest) Workman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Polly (Crabtree) Workman, one grandson, Scott Maple, and one great grandson, Wesley Workman.
He is survived by sons, Stan and Doris Workman, Tom and Martha Workman, and James Workman; daughters, Jenny (John) Cline and Martha Hale. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Friday May 7, 2010 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.e-k-lewisfuneral.com.
