| | | Marilyn K. Shope (Arter) passed away Thursday December 21, 2006 at 9 a.m. at the Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. She was born in Oak Hill on September 1, 1942 to the late Roy and Louella (Staten) Carter.
She is survived by three sons; Thomas (Kathy) Shope of Oak Hill, Kevin (Kendra) Shope of Jackson, and Mark (Tonya) Shope of Point Pleasant W.V., one sister; Wilma (Rick) Napper (Gray) of Wakeman Oh. one twin brother; Marlin (Jennie) Carter of Ray Oh. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters; Margaret Hardin and Wanda Dillinger and one brother; Harold Carter.
Calling Hours will be Friday December 22, 2006, from 4-8, and Saturday December 23, 2006, from 12-1 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1p.m. Rev. Tim Simpson will officiate and burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery.
