| | | MARY RUSSELL SHIPLEY, age 94, of Hilham, TN formerly of Jefferson Co. TN passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was born October 25, 1915 in Sevier Co., TN, the daughter of the late Humphrey and Ida Belle Russell. Preceded in death by her husband, William H. Shipley and a daughter who died at birth. Mary was a retired certified nurses assistant and attended the Maxwell Chapel First Church of God in Hilham, TN. She is survived by two sons, David H. Shipley and wife Peggy of Middletown, OH and Rev. Ralph T. Shipley and wife Judy of Hilham, TN; grandchildren, Michael Shipley of Flordia, Lisa Freeman and and Joel Shipley both of Greeneville, TN;five great granddaughters, Stephanie Freeman Richey, Emily Freeman, Taylor, Jordan and Courtney Shipley. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 6, 2009, 11:00 am at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Rudd, pastor of First Church of God, Greeneville, TN officiating. Interment graveside services to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE, TN 865-397-2711
