MARQUETTE Mary C. Molly Wanberg, 90, of 435 West Michigan Street, Marquette, entered eternal life Thursday morning, October 15, 2009 at Mill Creek Assisted Living in the loving care of her family and the caregivers of U.P. Home Health and Hospice. Born May 31, 1919 in Ishpeming, a daughter of Ervin and Cecilia (Cudahy) Carlton, Mary was a lifelong Marquette resident. On May 31, 1945, Molly married John Edward Wanberg and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2008. For over 40 years, Molly was employed as a bookkeeper with the former F.W. Woolworth Company. Throughout the years, Molly was very generous with the charities she assisted. Survivors include a niece, Susan (Craig) Schwemin and a nephew, Mark Carlton both of Marquette. In addition to her parents and husband, Molly was preceded in death by her brother, E. Paul Carlton. Friends may call at the Swanson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17 beginning at 9:30 am. Services will follow at 10:00 am Saturday morning in the funeral home with Rev. Ben Paris officiating. Burial will be made in the Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Richard Jopling Post #44 of the American Legion, 700 W. Bluff Street, Marquette, MI 49855.
