Norman Fred Hinze, Jr.

Marquette – Norman Fred Hinze, Jr., age 56 of 1205 Gray St., Marquette, entered eternal life Tuesday November 3, 2009 after a lengthy illness.
Born December 30, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a son of Norman and Arlene (Figge) Hinze, was raised in Milwaukee and attended school there. Norm held numerous jobs in the automotive parts industry. A self proclaimed “Ford Nut”, he loved muscle cars and shared his passion with his sons. He was a people person who loved to talk about anything with anyone, loved to drive and travel. Norm enjoyed good food, loved spending time with family, and was usually the life of the party. Proud of his German heritage, he enjoyed sampling good German beer. He was a hard worker and was dedicated in whatever work he was involved in. Locally, he was employed with Advantage Ford and Little Livery. Norm was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where he enjoyed the little children by helping teach Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include his sons, Eric (Sara) Hinze of Ishpeming and Alex (Hannah Mincheff) Hinze of Marquette; his granddaughter, Abby Hinze of Ishpeming; his parents, Norman and Arlene Hinze of West Bend, WI; his sisters, Norene (Tom) Johnson of Franklin, WI and Nancy (Greg) Harding of West Bend, WI; his brother, Neil (Janice) Hinze of Germantown, WI; three special nieces, Katelyn Harding, Emmalyn Harding, and Hannah Hinze; and Norman’s girlfriend who was his life companion and constant support, Lynne Reveliotis of Blackstone MA.
Friends may call at the Redeemer Lutheran Church on Monday, November 9, beginning at 10:30 am. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon Monday in the church with Rev. Paul Weber, pastor, officiating. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall. Pallbearers will be Doug Liberty, Edward Stockert, Jeff Capman, Ron Giannunzio, Phil Joffe and Joe Little. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1700 W. Fair Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855.
