William G. Colclough, Sr., 100, died Friday, October 16, 2009 at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona, MN. He was born May 3, 1909 in Vancouver, British Columbia, the son of John and Elizabeth Bourby Colclough. He lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida before moving to Winona in 2005.
He retired as a vice president and general manager of Keystone Forging Co., Northumberland, PA. Prior to that he was the general manager of Kreuter Company in Newark, N.J.
Bill was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Retreat, N.J. and an Elder of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. He is a past president of the Sunbury Rotary Club, past vice president of the Susquehanna Chamber of Commerce and board member of the Sunbury Y.M.C.A. Bill is a 79 year member of the St. John’s Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his son, William G. Colclough, Jr. and wife Barbara of Winona. Granchildren William Colclough III and wife Joan Curran of LaCrosse, WI., John Colclough and wife Kate Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ruth Church and husband Robert Church, Rochester, MN. Three grandchildren also survive, William J. Colclough of St. Paul, MN., Stephanie Church and Hannah Church of Rochester, MN. as well as several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Louise Becht Colclough and Fay Kelly Colclough, two sisters, four brothers, a grandson Thomas and a great grandson.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Colclough’s life will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 3:00P.M. in the chapel at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare, Rev. Justin Halbersma officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the chapel with fellowship following the service in the Gaudeamus Room at Saint Anne. Interment will be in Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, New Jersey.
