Herbert F. Nolte, age 90 of Oshkosh, passed away Wednesday evening, August 5, 2009 in the Evergreen Retirement Community. On December 26, 1918 he was born in St. Paul. MN, the son of Herbert and Leona (Faust) Nolte. Herb owned and operated the Credit Bureau Services in Oshkosh for 20 years. He attended the Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a member of EAA and volunteered at the Mayor's Breakfast. He also was a member of Kiwianis Club and the Winnebago County Historical Society. Woodworking was his hobby and he made bird hourses. He liked car, airplanes, golf and reading. During World War II he served with the Army-Air Corp in the Pacific. On February 3, 1945 he married Jean Polzin in Oshkosh. She survives along with his son: Reid (Sally Hastings) Nolte of West Layfayette, IN, and a niece: Sara Neustadtl of Lyons, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Marjorie Neustadtl.

A Memorial Eucharist will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2009 in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 311 Division Street, Oshkosh, with Rev. Steven Powers as celebrant. The family will greet friends at a reception in the undercroft after the service. Memorials may be sent to the Oshkosh Public Library, 106 Washington Ave., Oshkosh.
