Rita M. Yaden died Thursday, October 15, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus, NC. She was 87. She was born in Deux Rivieres, Ontario, Canada, to Catherine Amelia Flynn and John Thomas Cuddihey. She was a registered nurse and trained at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. She is survived by her children, Linda S. Yaden of Arlington, VA, Mark A. Yaden of Mayo, and Catherine E. Yaden of the home; and a niece, Judy LaFleur of Ontario, Canada. She was predeceased by her parents and six brothers and sisters. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, 161 North Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or the Spartanburg Public Library, 151 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
