Sue Bishop Threatt, 70, of 7950 Asheville Highway, died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 17, 1938, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Grady and Blanche Walker Bishop. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kershaw and a former member of the King Alfred Garden Club in Kershaw. An avid reader, she was devoted to her family, and adored her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, C. Aaron Threatt; three sons, Rodney Threatt of the home, Chris Threatt and wife Donna of Chesnee, and Geoffrey Threatt and wife Monica of Boiling Springs; a sister, Peggy Bishop Collins of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Sydney, Ian, Abigail, and Mary Claire Threatt; a nephew, Mike Collins and wife Connie of Murrells Inlet; and a niece, Sally Collins Bell and husband Gordon of Rock Hill. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Anna Grace Threatt; a brother, Ronnie Bishop; and a niece, Susan Collins Howell.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Gardner Koch. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or to a charity of one’s choice.
