Mary Frances Smith Rountree

Mary Frances Smith Rountree, of Spartanburg, died Friday, October 23, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Oliver Smith and Letha S. Cook and was married to the late Robert H. Rountree. She was a former employee of WSPA and Mary Black Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of PWP and a loving nanny to many children.

Survivors include a daughter, Rose Mary Rountree Behrens and husband Bruce of Lexington; a son, Robert Steven Rountree and wife Sharon of Roebuck; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2:00–2:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Richard D. Lewis. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 105 McKay Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
