NORFOLK—Claude E. Greear 86 of Sewells Point Road passed away in Norfolk August 30, 2009.
A native of Coeburn, Virginia he was the son of the late James N. and Bessie Donahue Greear. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Olene L. Greear and just recently his daughter, Judith McFarland. He served his country in the United States Army and had retired as an electrician with Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Left to cherish his memory is a son, Rodger Greear and his wife, Sharon; a sister, Bernice Sheppard; a brother, Eugene Greear; grandchildren, Kimberly Shank, Michael Nimmo, Claudia Nimmo, Christian Andersen, Charlotte Carter and Tiffany Amador; and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. There will be no viewing or visitation. The family will receive friends following the burial.
