| CHESAPEAKE – Emma Jane Conover McAllister, 79, of the 2900 block of Mattox Drive, went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2009 in Chesapeake. A native of Nassawaddox, VA, she was the daughter of the late Riley C. Conover, Sr. and Etta Harris Conover. She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and the Norview Chapter #131 OES.
She is survived by a daughter, Terri McAllister; a son, James T. McAllister; a brother, Riley C. Conover, Jr. of Virginia Beach; and a granddaughter, Susan Kilman of Painter, VA. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Virginia Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Foxwell, Dr. Jerald Vintinner, Dr. Kelly Burris and Rev. Ken Carlton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Heights Baptist Church, 1251 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA 23502.
