Mr. Peter B. Daly

Mr. Peter B. Daly of Port Jervis and a lifetime resident of the area, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Park Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. He was 87.

He was born June 29, 1921 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late James Michael and the late Margaret McNeill Daly.

He was a decorated combat veteran of WWII in the US Army and served 22 months as a German P.O.W.
He was employed for many years by Levin Furniture Andmore Swimwear.

He was a Life Member of the Roosa Fleming VFW Post 161, and the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree Knight.

Surviving are:
2 Brothers: Jim Daly and his wife Charlotte of Aberdeen, NJ and John Daly and his wife Nancy of Colorado Springs, CO. His loving sister Harriet Adele ''Dell'' Daly of Port Jervis. Area relatives: Elizabeth Hawkins and her brother Edward of, Matamoras, PA; Margaret Andersen and her husband Frank of Burlingham, NY, as well as many caring nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Mary Hawkins and brother, Daniel J. Daly.

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis on Monday, September 22, 2008 from 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 with a prayer service at 10:15am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY 12771

Burial with Military honors will be at St. Mary┬┤s Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
