Matamoras, PA


Mr. Frank F. Weber of Matamoras, PA and a longtime resident of the area, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. He was 86.

He was born August 7, 1923 in New York, NY the son of the late Frank M. and the late Bessie Lazarus Weber.

Frank married Estelle McInerney 63 years ago in Manhattan, NY on June 29, 1946.

He was a Detective for NYPD for 20 years before retiring in 1968. Frank later in life worked as a Department Manager for 13 years with Rex Noreco in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

He was a member of Port Jervis Country Club, Port Jervis Elk's Lodge, Interstate Law Enforcement Agency.

Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with Clusters.

A family statement read: ''We’ll always remember that special smile, that caring heart. That warm embrace you always gave us. You being there for mom and us through good and bad times no matter what. We’ll always remember you, Dad, because there’ll never be anyone to replace you in our hearts and the love we will always have for you.''

Surviving are:
Wife: Estelle Weber at home. Daughter: Patricia Coamey and her husband Joseph of Kissimmee, FL 5 Sons: Frank Weber and his wife Rhea of Campbell Hall, NY, Donald Weber and his wife Eileen of The Villages, FL, Robert Weber and his wife Gerri of Harmony, RI, James Weber and his wife Darlene of Matamoras, PA, Richard Weber and his wife Dawn of Dingman's Ferry, PA
Sister: Catherine Sforza of Goshen, NY
9 Grandchildren: Joseph Ostrom, Nicole McElroy, Michael Weber, Jeffrey Weber, Daniel Weber, Donald Weber, Frank Weber, Laurie Weber and Zachary Weber. 5 Great Grandchildren: Blake, Jenna, Tanner, Jovie and Donald

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Tuesday, April 20th 2010 from 2-4 pm & 7-9pm.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21st 2010 at 10:00 AM in Gray-Parker Funeral Home, with Deacon Wayne Von Doehren officiating.

Burial will be at Mill Rift Cemetery, Mill Rift, PA.
