Mr. Vincent G. Kalin, Sr.

Port Jervis, NY

Mr. Vincent G. Kalin Sr of Port Jervis, NY, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 77.
He was born July 27, 1933 in Yulan, NY the son of the late William and the late Eva King Kalin.
He was a 50 year member of The Port Jervis Volunteer Fire Department and a current member of Excelsior Engine Company #5. He also was a current member of the American Legion in Port Jervis.
He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He worked as a former bar tender for Len & Jo’s in Port Jervis.
Vincent retired from Gillinder Bros. Glass Factory as a Glass Blower.
A family statement read:”Vincent was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid bowler and loved his scratch off tickets. Earlier in life he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to camp at Bailey Lake in Kiamesha Lake, NY.”

His loving wife Linda Kalin at home.
2 Sons: Vincent Kalin, Jr. of Port Jervis, NY
Ronald Kalin and his companion Barbara Bullock of Port Jervis, NY
3 Step Sons: Robert Stevens of Port Jervis, NY
Thomas Stevens and his wife Lynn of Marshall’s Creek, PA
James Stevens of Newton, NJ
1 Daughter: Amy Waldheim of Port Jervis, NY
2 Step Daughters:Wanda Knight and her husband David of Pennsville, PA
Catherine Moore and her husband Gerald of Johnsonburg, NJ
1 Sister: Shelby Kalin of Pensacola, FL
Granddaughter Alyssa Waldheim
12 Step Grandchildren & 36 Step Great Grandchildren.
Also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by 4 brothers; William, Orville, Adolph, and Vernon; 5 Sisters: Annabelle, Loretha, Doris, Arlefa and Shirley.

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 7:00pm -9:00pm. Firematic services will be Friday at 7:30pm.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, with Pastor Amy Garrett officiating.

Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 419 East Main St., Suite 202, Middletown, NY 10940 or Humane Society Of Port Jervis/Deerpark, Inc., 202 Route 209, Port Jervis, N.Y. 12771
