Mr. Steven Patrick Sacco of Port Jervis, NY and a lifetime resident of the area died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Westchester Medical Center from a brain aneurysm. He was 29.
He was born February 27, 1982 in Middletown, NY the son of Gerald D. Sacco, Sr. and Mary E. Corcoran Sacco.
Steven was a 2000 graduate of Port Jervis High School. He worked as a Motor Equipment Operator for the City of Port Jervis for 4 years.
He was a member of the Delaware Engine Company #2 where he was a past 1st Lieutenant, past 2nd Lieutenant and a member of the Truck Committee. He was a member of the Hawks Nest Hunting Club and he was a certified NRA Instructor.
A family statement read: ''Steven was a loving son, brother, and uncle who was always there to help out.''
Surviving are:
Parents: Gerald D. Sacco, Sr. and Mary Sacco of Port Jervis, NY.
Sister: Kerri Sacco Conklin and her husband William Conklin of Port Jervis, NY.
Brother: Gerald D. Sacco, Jr. of Port Jervis, NY.
Nieces and Nephews: Devyn, Jett and Dallas Kate Conklin
Nieces and Nephews: Lindsey and Justin Gibbs and their father Michael Gibbs.
Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Girlfriend: Jennifer Snyder of Sparrowbush, NY
His beloved dog Motley.
He was predeceased by his sister Stacie Marie Sacco on January 22, 2005.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 21st 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
