Mrs. Grace J. Z. Gibby of Brick, NJ a former longtime resident of Montague, NJ, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Meridian Hospice Home, Ocean County, NJ. She was 93.
She was born May 27, 1911 in Lagidonia, Italy, the daughter of the late Vincent and the late Ripalda Curci Zichella.
She came from Italy to Montclair, NJ at the age of 5. She graduated from the Bloomfield, NJ Technical High School where she trained as a bookkeeper.
Her 1st job was at a butcher shop in Montclair and later at the Walpack Inn which was founded by her family. For many years she was a clerical worker at the Newton Memorial Hospital and had also worked at BrittÂ’s Dept. Store in Newton, managing the music dept.

Grace was a woman with a unique personality and sense of humor and will be remembered by many residents of the area as a loving, outgoing, caring and energetic person who loved life, her family and those around her.

She is survived by a close friend, Curtis Barry of Montague, NJ; a great-nephew, Joseph Arminio of Brick, NJ; also several other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Thursday, October 7, 2004 2: - 4: & 7: -9: pm

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 9:30 AM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis with Rev. A. Richard Carton officiating.

Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
