Mrs. Myra A. Stone

Matamoras, PA

Mrs. Myra A. Stone of Matamoras, PA retired head housekeeper at Eddy Farm Hotel and lifetime resident of the area, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at her home. She was 61.

She was born September 29, 1943 in Milford, PA the daughter of the late Lucian B. and the late Hazel M. Major Hissam.

She was a former member of the Matamoras & Westfall Fire Dept. Ladies Auxilaries; Matamoras Recreation Dept. volunteer and was an EMT on the Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance. .

After retiring from Eddy Farm, she had been a cashier at Jamesway and K-Mart.

Surviving are: Husband: Howard R. Stone, Sr. at home
Son: Howard R. Stone, Jr. & his wife, Monica of Dingman’s Ferry, PA
2 daughters Joanna Stone & Lynette Davis both of Matamoras, PA
2 Brothers: Robert Hissam Matamoras, PA
William Hissam Greeley, PA
2 Sisters: Marjorie Konkol Greeley, PA
Margaret Lemke Matamoras, PA
8 Grandchidren: Ashley, Christopher, Shayne, Sherelyn, Valerie, Howard III, Harley and Sylvia
Also aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by a nephew, John Cokelette and a grandson, Baby boy stone.

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Thursday, February 17, 2005 7: - 9: and Friday, February 18, 2005, prior to the funeral service.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 18, 2005 at 12:30 PM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis with Eileen Perrault officiating.

Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.

The family wishes to give special thanks for Myra´s health care to the Matamoras Fire Dept.; Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance Corps; Bon Secours Community Hospital; St. Joseph´s Rehab; ORMC, Horton Campus; Good Samaritan Health Care & Barbara McCormak; and Dr. Gapay and Dr. Bauer.
