Mr. John J. Osowick of Port Jervis, NY retired from the Port Jervis Post Office and lifetime resident of Port Jervis, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 86.
He was born January 12, 1919 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Paul and the late Anna Grasimchiek Osowick.
He was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis and was a former well-known bowler in Port Jervis and was a member of the local Bowling Associations as well as being in the Bowling Hall of Fame.
An Army veteran of WW II, he was a former POW and was a member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post No. 161.
He was also formerly employed at Novelty Slipper Co., Port Jervis.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne J. Biondi Osowick at home

Dominick Biondi & his wife, Pat Wayne, NJ
A Sister-in-law: Louise T. Fox Matamoras, PA

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 2: - 4: & 7: - 9:PM. VFW services will be Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 with a prayer at 10:15 am at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY with military services at graveside.
