Mr. John L. McGrellis of Matamoras, PA a retired railroad engineer and resident of the area for the past two years, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 75.
He was born September 10, 1929 in Kingston, PA the son of the late Raymond and the late Flora Jenkins McGrellis.
An Army veteran of the Korean War; he was a member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post No. 161, Port Jervis.

3 sons: Gerald McGrellis Washington Township, OH
John McGrellis State of Idaho
Jonathan Agar Rockaway, NJ,
Daughter: Karen Mithov Island, NJ,
2 brothers: Raymund McGrellis, Jr. Farifield Glade, TN,
Robert McGrellis Florissant, Missouri,
2 sisters: Mary Brenzinski Trucksville, PA,
Jean Zekas Matamoras, PA,
7 Grandchildren and several Nieces & Nephews
He was predeceased by a brother, Frank.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY on Wednesday, August 24th 2005 11:00am – 1:00pm
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24th 2005 at 1pm at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home.
Burial will be at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle Hill, PA.
