Mr. Walter L. “Terry” Von Ignatius, Jr. of Matamoras, PA died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at home with his family by his side. He was 57.
He was born October 14, 1948 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Walter L. and the late June Shirley Hosking Von Ignatius.
He was an Elementary Teacher for the Montague School District form 1970 – 1973. He went on to teach from1973 until his retirement from Stillwater Township School, Stillwater, NJ. He was a member of NEA National Education Association and the NJEA New Jersey Education Association.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis, where he was baptized and married to his loving and faithful wife Nancy Lambert on May 30th 1970.

His wife: Nancy Von Ignatius, at Home.
His son: Walter T. Von Ignatius, at Home.
His daughter: Karolyn Piatt of Port Jervis, NY.
His sister: Sharon Henion of Acworth, GA.
2 Grandchildren: Isabella & Sebastian Piatt of Port Jervis, NY.
2 Nieces: Virginia Hartigan of Canton, GA and Joanna Husson of Acworth, GA
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18th 2006 from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon at First Presbyterian Church, 8 North Broome St., Port Jervis.
A memorial service will be held at Saturday, March 18th 2006 at 12:00 Noon from First Presbyterian Church, 8 North Broome St., Port Jervis, NY 12771with Rev. Rev. Stephen Huston officiating.
The family will be having a luncheon to follow the service at the church.
Burial will be in the spring in the family plot in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
