Mr. John H. Schmitt of Sparrowbush, NY a security guard at Orange County Community College, Middletown and Kolmar Labs, Port Jervis, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 79.
He was born February 7, 1927 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late Frederick H. and the late Anna M. Brown Schmitt.
An Army veteran of the WW II and the Korean War, he was a member of the Roosa - Fleming V. F. W. Post No. 161 and James C. Bilz, American Legion Post No. 685 both of Port Jervis.
He is survived by his wife, Alvina C. Thomas Schmitt at home
Brother: Frederick H. Schmitt Palisades Park, NJ
Grandson: Palmer McMaster Bradenton, FL
And was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy E. McMaster

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25th at 7:30 PM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis with Rev. Robert D. Cassidy officiating
Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth, Mass..
