Mr. William F. Millspaugh of Port Jervis, NY a life time resident of Port Jervis, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 82.
He was born June 5, 1924 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Willis A. and the late Rose A. Mulvany Millspaugh.
William attended Port Jervis Schools and during WW II worked in Beaumont, Texas installing Fire Fighting Equipment in Naval Ships.
On Feb. 13, 1943, he was married to his childhood sweetheart and wife of 63 years, June Norris. They had three children who survive, Andrea Lambert and her husband Al, Susan Smith and her husband Bob, and Ronald Millspaugh, and his wife Sue all of Port Jervis.
The eldest of seven children, he was predeceased by both parents as well as brothers, Charles Robert, James Robert and Fredrick Wayne and a sister Elizabeth Ann.
He is further survived by six grandchildren, David, Debbie, Scotty, Danny, Kelly and Denise, and seven great-grandchildren Ashley, Brionna, Jessie, Jared, Summer, Cooper and Max. Also several nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from his work in 1994 and had been a member of the Tri-States Hose Co. No. 6 and the Port Jervis Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was particularly proud of his roll in helping to found the Soap Box Derby in Port Jervis.
Billís life revolved around his adoring family and his love of Music, especially Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand.
During his 45 years at John Innella and Company, He made many friends and thoroughly enjoyed helping his customers. Bill was a life-long fan of his home town and will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 2 -4 & 7-9 pm.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
