Mr. Paul Pancurak of Port Jervis, NY a resident of the area for 7 years and formerly of Rochester, NY, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at his home. He was 79
He was born February 10, 1927 in Yonkers, NY.
He was the widower of the late Mary Wanko Karpinski Pancurak; she died Feb. 9, 2005.
Paul was a truck driver for Dolomite Rock Quarry in Rochester, NY.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Veteran of World War II and also in the U.S. Air Force as a Veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis. Paul was also active in the Golden Seniors and the Friendly Seniors both of Sparrowbush.
He is survived by his Step-son, Randolph Karpinski of Sparrowbush, NY and his Step-daughter, Lorraine Larsen & her husband Kjell of Sandefjord, Norway. Three step-grandsons, Joseph, Robert and Michael Karpinski.
5 Step-Great Grandchildren: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Julia, Patrick and Jason.
He was predeceased by his Step-Daughter-In-Law Mary Ann Karpinski.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Friday, January 19, 2007 2- 4pm & 7- 9pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 with a prayer at 9:15 AM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis, NY.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
