Mr. Joseph J. Piccolo of Matamoras, PA a retired Assistant Manager of the Port Jervis A & P and longtime resident of the area, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at his home. He was 86.
He was born March 19, 1921 in Highland Falls, NY the son of the late Natal and the late Edna Crisi Piccolo.
Joe was predeceased by his wife, Carmella Marioni in March 2004.
He was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Matamoras; Mount Carmel Society; Knights Of Columbus Council #471; Matamoras Fire Dept. An Army veteran of WW II, he was a member of the Roosa - Fleming V. F. W. Post No. 161;
He was also a former member of the the Matamoras Borough Council serving on several committees including the Matamoras Planning Commission.
He is survived by a daughter, Anne Seeber and her husband, Brian of Matamoras
2 sons: Mario Piccolo and his wife, Kathy of Quakertown, PA

7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his step-father, Walter Ruff; 2 brothers, Alfred Piccolo and Thomas Ruff and a sister, Josephine Tunney.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 2-4 & 7-9 pm; with Mount Carmel services at 2:30 PM; Fire Dept. services at 7:00 PM, VFW services at 7:30 PM and K of C services at 8:00 PM
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 with a prayer at 10:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's R.C. Church with Rev. August A. Ricciardi officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
