Mr. Joseph G. Hattley of Carbondale, PA died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Marian Community Hospital. He was 65.
He was born July 7, 1942 in Bronx, NY the son of the late George J. and the late Frances M. Carhuff Hattley.
Joseph was a retired Funeral Director and was a Teacher of Modern Language and Latin in Tampa, FL.
He was a member ofMember of St. Rose of Lima , Carbondale, PA; he also served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Peterīs Cathedral in Scranton, PA. He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Tampa, FL and was in the U.S. Navy Reserves and member of American Legion in Tampa, FL.
Surviving are:
Brother: George Hattley and his wife Lynne of Freelton, Ontario, Canada. Son: Raymond E. Taylor and his wife Jeanne or Carbondale, PA
Granddaughter & Grandson: Samantha Taylor And Dominic DiVecchia or Carbondale, PA. Nephew: Michael Niece: Samantha
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 9 :00 AM in St. Rose Of Lima R.C. Church, 6 North Church St., Carbondale, PA 18407 with MSGR Joseph G. Quinn officiating.
Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.
