Mr. James J. Luckey a lifetime resident of Port Jervis, NY died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. He was 76.
He was born January 20, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Fred J. and the late Alice Davey Luckey.
He married Kathleen O’Connell 51 years ago on May 18th 1957 in Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Port Jervis.
James worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Port Jervis, NY.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1952 – 1956.
He was a 53 year member of Excelsior Engine Co. 5. He was a life member of the Tri-State Naval Ship, Tri-State Rod & Gun Club, and Metoque Hunting Club.

There will be no visitation.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.
